Am I the right counsellor for you?
I have a number of years experience of working with people from all walks of life with a range of reasons for coming to counselling. I am passionate about the difference that counselling can make and find it immensely rewarding to help people to move forward and step out of old patterns and behaviours that are holding them back. I believe that understanding why you feel the way that you do alongside learning new skills, strategies and behaviours, enables you to make positive lasting changes in your life.
I am an integrative therapist which means I draw on different theories and approaches to tailor your therapy to your needs. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach! The most important thing is that you need to feel that I am the right therapist for you and that you would be comfortable for us to work together. This is why I offer a free 10 minute phone call and a discounted, no obligation, first session so that you can ask any questions you have. Once I understand what you hope to gain from counselling we can discuss how I can help you to move forward.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in counselling along with additional training in online therapy and Walk Talk Therapy. Recent continued professional development includes Working with Suicide and Self Harm, Working with Trauma, Working with Trauma Triggers and Flashbacks and EFT (emotional freedom technique) Diploma.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and am guided by their ethical framework. If you would like to find out more about this click here.
